Gordon Brewer, AIA Gordon Brewer, AIA is an Associate Architect and Design Director of Peikert Group Architects since 1999. Mr. Brewer is a licensed architect in California. He has more than 30 years of award-winning experience designing complex residential, commercial and mixed use projects since receiving his Bachelor of Architecture from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. Mr. Brewer’s passion is creating enduring projects, each with a unique “sense of place”, that quickly become endeared. He has been committed to sustainable architecture since early private practice in solar pioneering Davis, California. Before coming to PGA, Gordon had a diverse career in private practice and as designer and project architect for other firms engaged in educational and commercial work. He has been inside the public sector, serving four years as Assistant Director - Planning and Construction at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Extensive technical and management experience allow Gordon to quickly evaluate design schemes for real world viability. Mr. Brewer is a longtime member of the National Trust for Historic Preservation and has served as a board member of Santa Barbara Community Housing Corporation and as a member the City of Davis Building Board of Appeals. He enjoys mentoring young architects in the office and returning to Cal Poly as a visiting critic and lecturer.
